Tomorrow, September 27, 2012, the Harvard Graduate School of Design will host a symposium by renowned architect Daniel Bonilla of Bogotá, Colombia. The symposium, entitled “Dissolving the Boundary”, is about the principles that the academic architect developed while practicing in Bogotá.

Daniel Bonilla’s focus on authentic materials and the ecological needs of each site make him an architect worth studying. He was educated in Dublin and Milan and applied his formal education while employed for the Public Space Bureau of Bogotá, where he helped enrich that historic city. He has since founded Daniel Bonilla Architects, which has institutional and architectural projects ranging from public transit areas to social housing communities. The published firm has entered and won several competitions worldwide, some of which have been featured in architectural reviews.
