Cambridge design fans, don’t miss out on Das Haus Tour! The German engineering showcase/traveling pavilion is here in Cambridge on its North American tour, providing an inside look at some impressive German innovations in home construction and solar energy. These advanced technologies offer a vision of sustainable construction and energy savings, so if you are interested in green architecture and sustainable building, be sure to check it out.
Located at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, dasHaus is open now through June 27th, with guided tours and events scheduled almost every day. Technologies on display include a room built to the Passive House Standard, with a number of features that help maximize solar heat gain and minimize heat loss; state-of-the-art solar roof modules and a solar facade that provides insulation while also generating power; and an exhibit of various insulation and construction materials and techniques designed for optimum energy efficiency.
There are so many cool green technologies on display at dasHaus, so don’t miss it! As LEED Accredited Professionals and members of the US Green Building Council, we love opportunities to see the latest sustainable building ideas in action.
