Sustainability has always been integral to our design. In our current projects, we design with LEED guidelines in mind. We are committed to be responsible designers with a focus on green and sustainable products, methods, and technologies.
We pride ourselves in the fact that we work on a full scope and wide range of projects types including private homes, corporate and institutional offices, including high tech and bio-tech, religious, academic, and retail.
Having been through both an office project that is LEED certified, and a private home that is in the process of LEED certification, we bring experience of the process and knowledge of the importance of the setting goals for green at the early stages of a project.
Considering that most of LS&A’s projects are renovation and rehab, we are utilizing green practices in the truest sense. For each project, we try to design efficient energy systems, working with engineers who have also committed to Green design. We specify sustainable and locally produced materials as often as possible.
We have strived to reduce our own carbon footprint by using energy efficient lights, turning off equipment when not in use, recycling paper, plastics and any packaging materials. We also return any unused material samples to the manufacturer. LS&A uses china, glass and stainless flatware so that we do not contribute to landfills from our food and beverage use. In addition, we encourage “tele-commuting” from an employee’s home.
We work with our clients to achieve a “green success story” with every project!
